Meet Dr. Stubbs
Dr. Brooke Stubbs is a double board-certified Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician, with a masters of science degree in Nutrition from Columbia University. She graduated Cum Laude from University of Kentucky College of Medicine in her home town, Lexington, Kentucky, and completed her internal medicine residency at Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas.
She moved to Austin in 2014 to be with her now husband and has made it her home. She is a proud mother to two beautiful children.
Dr. Stubbs has dedicated many hours to community outreach through her annual wellness event, the Rooted Retreat, which has educated hundreds of women on the values of a proactive lifestyle approach to health and raised thousands of dollars for local and national charities.
Prior to starting her concierge practice, Dr. Stubbs was an esteemed partner of the Hospital Internists of Texas, in which she practiced as a Hosiptalist Physician for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at St. David’s Medical Center in South Austin.
Over the years Dr. Stubbs has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles, as well as a textbook chapter on Skin Pigmentation and Melanoma Risk.
Her expertise in Lifestyle Medicine has been sought through speaking engagements for groups such as Austin Oral Surgery, Pinnacle Conference Women in Medicine, the Women’s Association of Austin Country Club, Austin Ridge, and more.
Dr. Stubbs has been featured in numerous news and media outlets including Connect Network Texas, Fox 7 News Austin, The Ladygang Podcast, Tribeza Magazine, Austin Monthly, Women of Austin Podcast, and the Scout Guide.
In 2023, Dr. Stubbs was a Top 5 Finalist for Austin Business Woman’s Doctor of the Year award.
In addition to holding a bachelors degree in Chemistry from Elon University she also studied the visual arts. She enjoys painting, exercise, dancing and music.
She believes health is determined by the sum total of the quality in all aspects of life.
